Introduction
The flame arrestor filter is a porous medium with micrometer-sized holes and a uniform distribution that controls and regulates the battery’s gases and allows appropriate passage for better performance and safety.
In lead-acid batteries, especially under high-temperature conditions, a significant amount of electrolyte (acid and water) evaporates and is released along with hydrogen, oxygen, and air in a vapor state.
This filter, due to its water-repellent property and higher internal pressure, to a great extent, prevents the leakage of electrolytes in liquid form due to vibration or installation conditions, as well as the release of these molecules along with the air in a vapor state due to battery performance and evaporation at high temperatures. This not only prevents corrosion and destruction of the external environment and rubber cap vents but also prevents a reduction in battery capacity due to a decrease in electrolytes, ultimately increasing the battery’s lifespan and eliminating the need to add electrolytes.
Furthermore, by increasing the internal pressure and optimization inside the battery, this filter promotes water reformation due to the combination of oxygen and hydrogen gases.
Due to its unique and porous structure, the Flame Arrestor Filter creates a path with many twists and turns, preventing any external spark from reaching inside the battery and preventing explosions, ensuring the safety of the battery under any conditions.
